Marvelous Monday Winter Storm Musings

The end of winter is in sight, though you wouldn't notice it from the effects of this last winter storm we had last weekend!

We were dumped on Thursday night and it kept on coming! A foot of snow by Friday morning, more than 18 inches by Friday night, more than 2 feet of snow by Saturday night.

It is beautiful! Took lots of photos to share.

We have 2 dogwoods in our front yard, which were laden with snow like whipped cream or frosting! You can see how they were bowed down with the snow as it kept piling on.

New Year

Happy New Year! Feliz Dia de los Reyes Magos!
It's hard to believe that the holidays have come and gone, well, mostly. Today is Epiphany or The Day of the Three Kings in Spanish speaking countries. Tomorrow is Old Christmas or Orthodox Christmas and next Thursday is Orthodox New Year as celebrated in many countries including Russia and the Ukraine. In other words, I have found yet another excuse to keep the holiday decorations up a bit longer!
Any way, the snow keeps coming each day adding inch by inch to the mounds piling up around our house. I'm inside keeping warm and working on new projects - some new scarves, etc.
