Are You Ready? It's Time to Wrap It Up!

Hope you are ready for holiday gift giving! Have you wrapped all of your gifts?

If not you might consider some non-traditional ways to "wrap".

Consider cookie tins, tote bags, colorful shoe boxes or candy boxes as containers.
Tote bag filled with goodies

Or as alternatives to wrapping paper use fabric remnants, dinner napkins, glossy magazine pages, scrapbook paper scraps and newspapers.

Time to Wrap It Up!

Last minute goodies to wrap yourself and your gifts in style!

What alternatives to traditional wrapping do you use? I would love to hear about (and see photos) how you simplify the gift wrapping process.

Happy wrapping!
Enjoy!

Everything You Need for a Cozy Winter Evening

As we settle in to colder winter weather, I've gathered together a few things for a cozy winter evening.

First, a warm fire.

Next, you need a comfy chair or rocker.

Then, a soft throw, warm slippers and a cushy footstool.

Sweet Lydias Hot Cocoa in Snow!

Check out this recipe for Spiced Hot Chocolate!
While looking for a yummy picture of hot chocolate, I found this picture and Sweet Lydias. Sweet Lydias is based in Lowell, MA where they have a hot chocolate contest every Thanksgiving weekend. Lydia's marshmallows have been on top of the winning cocoa for the past three years in a row! Yummy!

Fabulous Food Friday!

The house is filled with all of the aromas of holiday cooking and baking, well, at least in my memories and imagination! Don't you just love the way baking cookies, cakes and pies fills the whole house with delectable scents, sometimes for days? I haven't done any holiday baking yet, but I have been browsing on Etsy to see what my fellow artists have to offer.

 What's Cookin'?
Can't  you just smell the wonderful aromas? I hope you enjoy this wonderful, food themed collection!
