What's Your Summer Story?

Ah, summer!
It's finally here (in the Northern Hemisphere!)!

What's your summer story?
My Summer Story from the shop of WhimsyTime

Do you keep a journal of your adventures?

Take tons of photos?

Create summer vacation scrapbook pages?

I always determine to take lots of photos but I am more likely to journal and art journal.
As for scrapbooking? That hasn't happened yet!

What about you? How do you tell your summer story?

Playing with Shadows Tribute to Ground Hog Day

Double Staircase!?
Happy Ground Hog Day!

Will he see his shadow?

Not sure, but noticed these shadows the other day and snapped a few photos.

I'm still playing around with my new camera, becoming accustomed to it's size and settings.

I like the interesting shapes and the illusions created by the shadows!

Couldn't get a good shot of the whole top of this china cabinet. The shadows create the illusion that there are more objects and that the dried flower arrangements are so much fuller.

Have a great Thursday!

New Year, Surrounded by Fabrics, New Projects and Color

I've been buried in my workshop since the beginning of the year.

Tidying up,

organizing my production schedule for the next few months

and creating some new scarves.

Oh, and I've been trying out my new camera (my old one died last year!!!)
Gold Roses Autumn Floral Embossed Scarves

Here's a sneak peek.
Striped fabric with tangerine orange thread
Sewing the last long edge!
Scarf long edges finished, now to trim the ends!

What kind of trim do you envision on the ends of these sweet citrus striped scarves?

Stay tuned as I add new late winter and spring scarves over the next month! Watch for a new SuZeFashion GiveAway next week!

Have a fabulous Friday!

Slow Down, Look Around, Be Inspired

Lately I've become somewhat obsessed with taking photos of just about everything I see wherever I go. Most of the vegetation around my home has become a fitting subject as I practice with the various settings on my digital camera.

I have always admired the photography I've seen in various magazines and galleries. I appreciate taking a closer look at the world around us, taking what has become ordinary and creating a work of art.

I find that this has helped me to slow down, stop and observe more. Take time to smell the roses as it were. There is so much beauty around us, that it is all too easy to take it for granted.

I have been particularly inspired by the photography of fellow Etsy sellers and those whose blogs and tweets I follow. I hope you'll take the time to check out today's blog by Studio MME sharing some recent photos. http://studiomme.blogspot.com/

Slow down, take time to smell the roses! You'll find yourself refreshed and newly inspired.

Happy Tuesday!

Taking Autumn Photos Inspires Creativity

Every chance I've had this week I've been taking photos of the trees and plants around our area, and well any place that I can. The colors are spectacular and inspiring! I'm working on a montage to show the things I've seen and the projects inspired by this season.
